How do I access the Washington Post online?
Answer
The Washington Post
You do not need to set up an account to access the WP, but it is only available when you are on the SPS network and from the library website. Go to the Database A-Z list. You may click directly on the link (see red text, “Washington Post,” pictured below) to access articles through EBSCO.
There are a few more steps that need to be taken to access articles, as this paper is not sourced directly from the publisher but by EBSCO (see below for linked record screen). To access the most recent articles, look at the list of dates on the right side of the record screen, choose the current month, and then select the day of publication.
This will take you to a new page where all the available articles from that day’s paper are listed in alphabetical order by the writer’s first name. You may also search for a specific article using the second search bar at the top of the page. Make sure to “Select a Field” (i.e., All Text, Author, Title, Subject Terms, Geographic Terms, etc.) in the drop down menu to the right of the search bar as this will help narrow your search.
