How do I search DREAMSEA?
Please Note: If you are using DREAMSEA for your HUM III Pacific Stories Project, it will only be a helpful source for students with an Indonesian cultural group who are looking for a PRIMARY source, not the origin story itself.
From the DREAMSEA homepage, first select your "Country" (see purple box) from the drop down.
Then there are two ways to narrow your search.
1) Search by "City (Province)" (see the orange box). From the drop down, select a city where members of your cultural group live (e.g., in the case of the Javanese, any province that starts with "Jawa," like the one highlighted in green below).
2) Type in the "Subject Matter" (see green box) you need to find. In the example below, I was looking for entries with a religious focus.
The search results will appear below the search fields. As you can see in the green box below, there were 12 results when I searched using the Subject Matter term "Religion." You can click on the blue "DS" links to access the primary sources.
