How do I set up a Sora audio/eBook account?

Answer

On the library website's homepage (pictured below), click on "Find" (circled in light blue) to open the drop down menu pictured below. Click on "eBooks and Audiobooks" (circled in light purple). The link will take you to Sora (formerly called Overdrive).

If you need to set up an account, you will be taken to the screen pictured below. Click on the "St. Paul's School Ohrstrom" button (circled in light purple).

On the next page, you will be given two choices:

  • Faculty Families: If you are an SPS faculty or staff family member and would like your own Sora account, please send an email request to the library. After you have received your account PIN, you can select "Faculty Families."
  • St. Paul's School Ohrstrom: If you are a SPS student or a member of faculty or staff, click this button (circled in light purple below).

Regardless of your selection above, the next page will confirm that you want to sign in. However, if you clicked the "Faculty Families" button, it will ask for your email and pin. Once your sign-in request is confirmed, you will reach your Sora homepage (pictured below) and your name will appear beneath the "Home" title (see light purple circle).

From your home page, you can navigate to the following pages:

  • Explore (circled in blue): This page features the Ohrstrom Library Collections—the new fiction and non-fiction lists, themed book collections, recommended reading, course reserves and more.
  • Shelf (circled in yellow): Your shelf will show you your current Loans, books you have on Hold, personal book Lists you have made, and your reading History on the website.
  • Me (circled in green): Your profile page allows you to update your profile, gives you data about your activity on Sora (e.g., total time read, current and longest reading streaks, etc.), and notes your reading achievements with little reward badges.
